Summer came, and summer went, and I’m sure it has been the same for you. It has been busy around here. I have been finishing up songs, writing with Amanda, traveling, playing shows, teaching, fighting weeds in the garden, attended a friend’s wedding in Seattle and spent some time in the woods. Fall is close, and I always seem to hunker down and write songs during the season of cooler nights and changing leaves.
Amanda wrote a really cool song called ‘Spread Love Around’ for a great cause, with all of the sales of the music, posters and t-shirts going to a really great cause. We assembled at The Sanctuary in Nashville, worked up an arrangement, and recorded it live. She also made a video for the song, and you can watch it here and learn more about the cause we are all proud to support and be a part of: https://youtu.be/tkllhLaqxtQ
We all travelled out to Moscow, Idaho to headline the Rendezvous In The Park Festival. It’s a beautiful place, the people were really kind and we had a great time. Here are some pics:
Oh yeah, Alicia is a finalist on America’s Got Talent. You can hear her music here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/alicia-michilli-ep/id968522702 and see her this Tuesday for the Finals. https://youtu.be/C4M72aajqGE
Brandy and I also did some hiking in Idaho and Washington. We were able to visit Palouse Falls, Shaw Island in the San Juan’s, the Cascades and the Olympia Mountains. Here’s some scenery for ya:
Ok, off to finish some songs, plan some hiking and camping trips to the Smokies and The Cumberland Plateau, and wrap up an instructional video series I am creating for my teaching studio, www.greenhillsguitarstudio.com. All the best to you!
Talk soon, Shane
